Resus Training
|
We are always keen to get out into the community and share skills. Recently, Dr Lunts, Dr Grove and Emma Mahon (our paramedic emergency care practitioner) visited Henbury School to teach resuscitation skills to Year 10 students. The teaching stresses the importance of attempting resuscitation and when and how to use a defibrillator.
This training save lives. In Norway, where resuscitation is taught routinely in schools, the survival rate from cardiac arrests is 25% whereas in the UK survival is less than 10%. |
Green Impact
Pioneer Medical Group is proud to be taking part in the Green Impact Awards this year. This scheme aims to make general practice more sustainable, reducing our impact on the environment. The World Health Organisation has identified climate change as the biggest threat to global health in the 21st century, and as a leading healthcare provider it’s important that we lead by example.

Do you have an elderly friend or relative that would benefit from some social interaction and easy exercise? It's a self-referral service. Follow this link to read the leaflet for more details and contact numbers. Alternatively call the greenway centre on 0117 950 3335 for more information or to book a class. |
