As you can see from our logo, we aim to be Accessible, Responsive and Caring. You live a busy life. You have better things to worry about than accessing care from your GP. We know that. And this is how we can make things easier for you. Please take 10 minutes to read our TopTenTips and be assured it will pay back ten times your effort in return.
Here they are, in no particular order............. |

Extended Hours & Saturdays
Our core hours are Monday to Friday 0800h to 1830h. You work a 9-5? We've got you covered! Weekday extended hours clinics run 0730-0800 and 1830-1900. We open 0800 - 1300 on Saturdays too. But please take note, these are for pre-booked appointments only. If you have an on the day need please call 111 as we have no urgent appointments on the day outside of normal hours.

Self-Care
So often we see adults and children with problems that don't need a GP appointment. Self limiting conditions that can easily have been managed with a bit of confidence and know how. Check out our self help pages and videos. Your local pharmacist can deal with a huge number or problems, or refer on to us if they can't.

Do it remotely with our patient PODs
Many medication and chronic disease reviews can be done without a face to face GP appointment. Each of our sites has automated blood pressure machine, scales and height measure. At our Bradgate and Ridingleaze sites the POD will automatically link to your medical records so you can complete a contraceptive pill check, blood pressure, asthma and some diabetic reviews. Please follow up with a clinician telephone call.

We are not just GPs - let the reception team guide you
We are a multi-professional team. We are Healthcare Assistants, Treatment Room Nurses, Chronic Disease Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Paramedics, care co-ordinators, managers, receptionists, secretaries, coders and more. You may be better served, and more quickly, by seeing an allied health professional. Let reception advise you who to see.
|
Urgent Care services
Most problems are not urgent. But sometimes it needs to be today. We understand that. Let reception know it's urgent and our duty clinicians will call back same day to triage your call and manage according to clinical need. But remember, we are not an emergency service - that's the role of 999 and A+E.
|
Repeat Medications
It takes 2 working days to process prescriptions. These are best requested using online access, through your pharmacy or in person at reception. For safety reasons - as we manage thousands of requests a week - we do not take prescriptions over the phone and can't accommodate same day requests. Please order in good time.
