Dr Camille Chambers MBChB, BSc, MRCGP, DRCOG, DFSRH, LOC (SDI), PGDip Dr Chambers qualified from Bristol University in 2009 and joined Pioneer Medical Group in September 2018, having been working at Bradgate Surgery as a Registrar since 2016. Dr Chambers has particular interests in Dementia and women's health. She is trained to fit contraceptive implants. Dr Sally Cooper MRCGP, DCH, DFSRH, DRCOG. Completed medical training in Cambridge and London, graduating in 1999. Sally has been at the Lawrence Weston practice since 2007. Prior to this she practiced in Wellington New Zealand. She enjoys the wide variety of general practice, continuity of care and teaching medical students. Dr Polly Duncan BM BS Dr Duncan joined the Pioneer Medical Group in 2016 after completing her training here as a registrar. She works as a part-time GP and a part-time researcher at the University of Bristol. Her research is about how we as GPs can best care for older patients with lots of long term conditions and how we can look at reducing the number of tablets that patients take. She has recently passed a Master of Public Health. She enjoys teaching students and trainee doctors. She has a young family and cycles to work on her electric bike. Dr Gil Henderson MBChB (Aberdeen) MRCGP Gil graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 2007 and then undertook further medical training in London before moving to Bristol in 2015. Since arriving in Bristol Gil has worked at both Bradgate Surgery and Ridingleaze. He enjoys all aspects General Practice and in his free time enjoys exploring Bristol watching the fortunes of Partick Thistle Football Club. Dr Henderson is a salaried doctor. Dr Alison Hutchings Dr Hutchings qualified as a doctor in Nottingham before moving to Bristol to complete her GP training. She has particular interests in paediatrics and women's health and is trained to fit implants and coils. Alongside her work at Pioneer she is involved in medical education. She teaches Bristol medical students consulting skills and supervises GP trainees working in the Urgent Care (Out of Hours) setting. Dr Hutchings joined Pioneer Medical Group in April 2019 and works at the Ridingleaze site on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. |
Dr Caroline Jones MBBS and MPH Dr Jones has been in medical practice for over twenty years. She went to medical school in London and for many years worked in the United States. She returned to the UK in 2013 to work in the NHS and joined the Ridingleaze practice in 2015. She enjoy all aspects of general practice, particularly working in an multicultural environment. She also works with an international organisation to provide medical education abroad. Dr Jones is a salaried doctor. She works at the Ridingleaze site on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. |
Dr Rachel Limna MB BCh BaO MRCGP (distinction), DRCOG, DFSRH. Qualified Queens university in Belfast in 2000. Rachel spent several years working in emergency medicine prior to becoming a GP in 2006.. She has an interest in women's health and minor surgery. Rachel worked in Northern Ireland and Australia before settling in Bristol in 2011. Before having children she enjoyed skydiving; completing almost 1000 jumps, coaching and competing at national level. Free time is spent having fun with her two children. Dr Limna is a Partner. After completing her training in Taunton Veronica worked in Africa for a couple of years before returning to her home town of Bristol. She enjoys most aspects of general practice and has a particular interest in women’s health, substance misuse and teaching medical students. Dr Megan Rowlands MBChB MRCGP DRCOG LoC (coils) LoC (SDI) Dr Rowlands qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2009. After a year working in Perth, Australia, she completed her GP training in the South West, and was a Registrar at Bradgate surgery before joining the Pioneer team. She has an interest in womens health and is trained to fit contraceptive implants and coils. When not at work she can be found playing the piano, running around on a touch rugby field or travelling the corners of the globe. Dr Rowlands is a partner. Dr Kimberly Bruce Dr Bruce qualified as a doctor in Bristol and worked in obsetrics and gynaecology before becoming a GP. She has particular interests in women's health, contraception and teaching. Outside medicine she enjoys playing the ukulele, weight lifting, open water swimming and spending time with her children. |
