Dr Susanna Cary
BM BCh MRCP DFFP MRCGP

After years as a hospital doctor (specialising in general medicine and haematology) Susanna changed to General Practice and qualified as a GP in 2010. Particularl interests include general medicine and women’s health.

Dr Cary is a partner. She works at the Bradgate site on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Dr Camille Chambers
MBChB, BSc, MRCGP, DRCOG, DFSRH,
LOC (SDI), PGDip

Dr Chambers qualified from Bristol University in 2009 and joined Pioneer Medical Group in September 2018, having been working at Bradgate Surgery as a Registrar since 2016. 
Dr Chambers has particular interests in Dementia and women's health.  She is trained to fit contraceptive implants.

Dr Chambers is usually based at Bradgate Surgery and works Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

Dr Joanna Colyer
MBBCh nMRCGP DRCOG

Dr Colyer trained in Cardiff and started working at Ridingleaze in 2010.  She enjoys spending time in the outdoors, knitting and is actively involved in her local church.

Dr Sally Cooper
MRCGP, DCH, DFSRH, DRCOG. 

Completed medical training in Cambridge and London, graduating in 1999. Sally has been at the Lawrence Weston practice since 2007. Prior to this she practiced in Wellington New Zealand. She enjoys the wide variety of general practice, continuity of care and teaching medical students. Interests include women's health and child health.

Dr Cooper is a partner. She works at the Avonmouth site on Monday, Thursday and Friday.

Dr Polly Duncan
BM BS
Dr Duncan joined the Pioneer Medical Group in 2016 after completing her training here as a registrar. She works as a part-time GP and a part-time researcher at the University of Bristol.  Her research is about how we as GPs can best care for older patients with lots of long term conditions and how we can look at reducing the number of tablets that patients take.  She has recently passed a Master of Public Health.  She enjoys teaching students and trainee doctors.  She has a young family and cycles to work on her electric bike.

Dr Duncan works at the Bradgate site on Mondays and Thursdays.

Dr Gil Henderson
MBChB (Aberdeen) MRCGP
 
Gil graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 2007 and then undertook further medical training in London before moving to Bristol in 2015. Since arriving in Bristol Gil has worked at both Bradgate Surgery and Ridingleaze. He enjoys all aspects General Practice and in his free time enjoys exploring Bristol watching the fortunes of Partick Thistle Football Club.

Dr Henderson is a salaried doctor. He works at the Bradgate site on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.

Dr Daniel Hirsch
MBChB, BSc, MRCGP

Trained as a registrar at Bradgate surgery in 2006. Returning to the surgery in 2007 he has an interest in joint injection , minor surgery, mental health and the treatment of substance misuse

Dr Hirsch is a partner. He normally works at the Bradgate site on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Dr Alison Hutchings
​Dr Hutchings qualified as a doctor in Nottingham before moving to Bristol to complete her GP training. She has particular interests in paediatrics and women's health and is trained to fit implants and coils. Alongside her work at Pioneer she is involved in medical education. She teaches Bristol medical students consulting skills and supervises GP trainees working in the Urgent Care (Out of Hours) setting. 

Dr Hutchings joined Pioneer Medical Group in April 2019 and works at the Ridingleaze site on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.

Dr Caroline Jones
MBBS and MPH

Dr Jones has been in medical practice for over twenty years. She went to medical school in London and for many years worked in the United States. She returned to the UK in 2013 to work in the NHS and joined the Ridingleaze practice in 2015. She enjoy all aspects of general practice, particularly working in an multicultural environment. She also works with an international organisation to provide medical education abroad.

Dr Jones is a salaried doctor. She works at the Ridingleaze site on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Dr Rachel Limna
MB BCh BaO MRCGP (distinction),  DRCOG,  DFSRH. 

Qualified Queens university in Belfast in 2000. Rachel spent several years working in emergency medicine prior to becoming a GP in 2006.. She has an interest in women's health and minor surgery. 

Rachel worked in Northern Ireland and Australia before settling in Bristol in 2011. Before having children she enjoyed skydiving; completing almost 1000 jumps,  coaching and competing at national level.  Free time is spent having fun with her two children. 

Dr Limna is a Partner. She works at Ridingleaze Tuesday and thurs and Bradgate on Wednesdays

Dr Elaine Lunts
MRCGP, MBBS (1989), MRCP(Paeds), DCH, FPCert

Pursued a career in paediatrics before entering General Practice as a registrar at Bradgate Surgery in 1999. She has a special interest in paediatrics, adolescent health and sexual health.

Dr Lunts is a partner. She works at the Bradgate site on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Dr Andrew Masters
MBChB (Bristol, 2009) MRCGP DRCOG MPharm DipClinPharm

Joined the practice in 2014 having worked on placement at Bradgate surgery as a junior doctor. Dr Masters worked as a pharmacist in the hospital and community sector before retraining in medicine. He has interests in therapeutics, prescribing, diabetes and information technology.

Dr Masters is a partner. He works at the Bradgate site on Monday, Thursday and Friday.

Dr Michael Mccaldin
MB, ChB (1986), DCH, MRCGP, FP Cert

Has an interest in respiratory medicine and drug misuse. He teaches the 2nd year medical students and is also lead for prescribing in the practice

Dr McCaldin is a partner. He works at the Bradgate site on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Dr Veronica Pickering
MBChB (1992)DCH, DRCOG, DFSRH,MRCGP, Dip Therapeutics.

After completing her training in Taunton Veronica worked in Africa for a couple of years before returning to her home town of Bristol. She enjoys most aspects of general practice and has a particular interest in women’s health, substance misuse and teaching medical students. Veronica values the contacts she has with local community groups with a shared goal of improved health and well being for all local residents.

Dr Pickering is a partner. She works at the Ridingleaze site on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

Dr Megan Rowlands
MBChB MRCGP DRCOG LoC (coils) LoC (SDI)
Dr Rowlands qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2009. After a year working in Perth, Australia, she completed her GP training in the South West, and was a Registrar at Bradgate surgery before joining the Pioneer team. She has an interest in womens health and is trained to fit contraceptive implants and coils.
 
When not at work she can be found playing the piano, running around on a touch rugby field or travelling the corners of the globe.
 
Dr Rowlands is a partner. She works at Avonmouth on Tuesdays and Fridays, and Ridingleaze on Thursdays.

Dr Nigel Taylor
MA, MBBS, (1978), DRCOG, FRCGP, FP Cert

Dr Taylor is the senior partner. Has been at Bradgate since 1983. Particular interests include training, minor surgery, dermatology, IT, dementia and Practice Management. Dr Taylor is also particularly involved in GP Out of Hours

Dr Taylor is a partner. He works at the Ridingleaze site on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Dr Kimberly Bruce
Dr Bruce qualified as a doctor in Bristol and worked in obsetrics and gynaecology before becoming a GP. She has particular interests in women's health, contraception and teaching. She is trained to fit implants and coils and also teaches Bristol medical students communication skills. Outside medicine she enjoys playing the ukulele, weight lifting, open water swimming and spending time with her children.

Dr Simon Thornton
MBChB, BSc, MRCS, Dip Med Ed, FHEA, MRCGP

Dr Thornton qualified from Bristol medical school in 2007 and initially pursued a career in surgery before choosing to become a general practitioner. He has an interest in medical education, men’s health and gastroenterology and is a trained endoscopist. In his spare time he is a keen triathlete, kitesurfer and father.
 
Dr Thornton is a partner. He works at Avonmouth on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
