COVID vaccines for households of the immunosuppressed
According to our records you are immunosuppressed. You should have already been offered a COVID vaccine. In order to protect you, the vaccination program is now offering a vaccine to those that share a household with you.
Why are we contacting you? Our computer systems are able to search and find you, but they are not clever enough to tell us who lives in your household, particularly if they are not registered at the Pioneer Medical Group.
What do I need to do? Please do not call us. If you have adults in your household that want a vaccine, reply YES. If not then reply NO.
If you reply with a YES to the text we will call you in the next few working days. When we call we will ask for the name and contact number (mobile ideally to allow speedy appointment booking) of those living in your household that would like to take up the offer of a vaccine. Please have these ready.
What happens next? We will contact each of the people in your household by text message or telephone call inviting them to book a vaccine with us. People living in your household that are registered at another surgery can come to us or their own GP. They can choose.
Please note – people not registered at our surgery (i.e. we don’t already have their address on record) will need to bring some evidence that they live in your household when they come for their vaccine, e.g. utility bill, insurance policy, student loan letter, payslip, etc.
